Winky Teaches A Life Lesson

Dedicated to Yahala Chasnah bat Sarah v'nechdah Ruby Carrie Porch,z'l

A very short note today.

Winky visits Westminster, and gives us a life lesson.

How often are we focusing on first place, winning the prize, beating our personal best, or collecting notches on our belts? Shabbat is about purposefully and intentionally doing none of those things.

In a one minute and forty-five second video, Winky reminds us that life is in the journey. Enjoy it. This is not a rehearsal, and we don't get a second chance, most likely. So the journey, savoring the moments, is more critical that winning the prize.

The time to beat was 40.11 seconds and zero faults. Winky decided other dogs can go for the record and the big honking rosette; he was perfectly fine with a fun meander and a lot of admiration from the crowds!

Take the less than 2 minutes to watch the video. You deserve the smiles.

Shabbat Shalom uv'racha,  Shabbat Peace and blessings!
