Of Snow Leopards and Yahoo's

Breaking out of this nature-is-calling-me-to-prepare-for-hibernation mode takes enormous, Herculean efforts. I'm not doing it the way I did in 2014 again.

I think it's time to work with my Snow Leopard. They recently discovered that all big cats have a blood system which does not compensate for breathing in thinner air at higher altitudes, which is why big cats aren't found at higher altitudes with the exception of Snow Leopards. So the theory was that Snow Leopards had some sort of compensatory loop allowing their red blood cells to take in more oxygen in thinner air than other big cats are able to.
This theory was not proved. In fact, just the opposite seems to be the case.

So now the thinking is that Snow Leopards simply breathe harder to enable them to live at higher altitudes.
Not hibernating goes against my nature. Guess that means I need to channel my inner Snow Leopard and learn how to breathe harder.

Just. Breathe. Harder.

Dig in and find my breath, somehow.
Breathing and breath work, of course, always harkens back to Ruach Hakodesh, the holiest of Spirit/Energy that is literally the Breath of All Life. Another Hebrew word used when we reference G!d is Hu, which actually justmeans "he," but, there it is. Another word is Yah, my favorite "name"  for G!d because it is nothing but breath. Hu is an outgoing breath, and Yah is the incoming breath. And not to be sacrilegious at all, YahhhhhHuuuuuu (aka Yahoo, lol) is deep breathing, deep soul breathing, deeply breathing in and out G!d G!d'sSelf.
Hebrew of course does not have a market on this, but I love it's uniquenss. In fact, the tetragrammaton, the Holiest of Sacred G!d names, is nothing more than incoming and outgoing breath, which is really why it is unpronounceable. Not because the pronunciation has been lost, but because it is simply consciously breathing in and out G!d. A radical notion.

Yahhhhhhhhhh Huuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
I am not into Eckankar, but I do note that the movement teaches simple spiritual exercises, such as singing "Hu," called "a love song to God", to experience the Light and Sound of God and recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit. However, they focus on the outbreath alone, the Huuuuu, and not the in-breath. One can't breathe G!d fully without the in-breath and the out-breath.
I needed to write this to remind myself to channel my inner Snow Leopard, who survives what it should not be able to survive simply because it breathes harder, not because of any special genetic adaptions or other physical advantages. It does not have them. It is like all other Big Cats. Yet, it survives and even thrives in thinner air without hibernating simply because of its breathing.
Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

It's a most wonderful time of year!

As we head into a time of year which has historically been a severe challenge for me to get through, I can honestly say that this year, I am...
